They're using silicon-carbon battery chemistry to pull off this increase without making the phone unnecessarily thick or heavy, so you're looking at one seriously enduring device paired with that intelligent display tech. The phone also confirms 100W wired charging via 3C certification.
On the camera front, the OnePlus 16 is stepping up to a 200MP main sensor, a huge jump from the 15's 50MP shooter. While we don't know the exact sensor details yet, it puts the phone in direct competition with Samsung's Galaxy S27 Ultra and Xiaomi 18 series in the megapixel arms race.
