Vivo and iQOO have opened registrations for OriginOS 7's Preview Program in India, and it's your chance to test the new operating system before the official rollout. Starting today through September 20th, X300 Pro and iQOO 15 owners can sign up for one of 500 limited beta spots per device. The registration process is straightforward: head to Settings, tap System Update, then look for the "Version trial" option in the menu. From there, select Closed Beta Sign-Up and fill out the form to apply. Keep in mind that registering doesn't guarantee selection, but if you're chosen, you'll get early access to what Vivo's calling its biggest design overhaul in years.

OriginOS 7 ditches the old visual playbook entirely. The new interface uses what Vivo calls a light-and-shadow aesthetic that actually responds to your taps, scrolling, and even the time of day. Wallpapers ripple and shimmer when you touch them, icons shift between vibrant daytime looks and softer nighttime vibes, and there's a new liquid theme that adapts based on your phone's movements. You'll also get interactive stickers powered by AI, pet-themed wallpapers that react to charging status, and a flash card theme that changes based on your phone's angle.

Under the hood, things get serious. Vivo's Blue River Smooth Engine claims a 14 percent boost in rendering efficiency, 19 percent faster page switching, and 12 percent quicker app launches. Storage also gets smarter with compression tech that frees up to 25GB of extra space on a 256GB device. For multitasking, there's Atomic Workbench, letting you split apps side by side like you'd do on a laptop. The company even tested the update for six years and says it maintains over 94 percent fluidity throughout.

The AI side's pretty impressive too. OriginOS 7 now understands photos and video through visual recognition, can handle complex tasks step by step through Small V Pro mode, and offers features like AI-assisted travel planning, resume customization, and mock interviews. Screenshots become smart cards that store voucher codes and passes automatically.

Vivo's launching OriginOS 7 officially in China today, September 16th, with a global debut coming September 21st. If you grab a spot in the preview program, expect the beta to arrive in the coming weeks. Since it's still in testing, Vivo warns about potential bugs and battery drain, so backing up your data before flashing is absolutely necessary.
