The phone originally came to global markets in August, and now Indian buyers finally get their shot.

The rear camera is a 50MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture, backed by an 8MP selfie shooter. Battery-wise, the 6,000mAh unit supports 33W fast charging and should hold 80 percent of its capacity after 1,000 charge cycles. The real question is whether the slightly fresher features and newer Android 16-based software justify the likely price bump. For a phone meant to be budget-friendly, Redmi needs to nail the pricing. The 15C earned praise for its big screen and battery life, but cameras were average and the software felt cluttered. If the 17C follows the same pattern, the value proposition depends entirely on what Redmi decides to charge when it hits October 1st.
