HONOR just dropped MagicOS 11 in China, and it's packed with AI features that go way beyond the usual phone tricks. The big star here is a souped-up YOYO assistant that learns your habits and executes tasks automatically without you having to lift a finger. Imagine telling your phone once that you want the bedroom lights off when you get home, and it just remembers that forever and does it every single time.
The new YOYO system works with over 40 trigger conditions and 130+ execution actions, which basically means it can handle crazy complex automation. It can recognize pickup codes from text messages, pull meal numbers from apps, and even spot travel notifications so you don't have to dig through your messages. YOYO Schedule goes further and automatically creates calendar events from ticket confirmations, medical appointments, and chat details. There's also an AI Call Assistant that gives you summaries of incoming calls and even offers human-agent help when you need it.
What's really clever is how YOYO connects to your entire digital life. It works with smart home setups from different brands using Home Assistant, so one voice command can turn off your bedroom light, start the robot vacuum, and switch the air purifier all at once. For vehicles, it can handle navigation and climate control. And if you've got an Insta360 gimbal camera, you can instantly transfer gimbal videos to your HONOR phone for editing and sharing.
HONOR also nailed cross-device connectivity that actually works across brands. Your HONOR phone can now sync calls and messages with iPhones, and you can transfer photos between HONOR, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, and Apple devices with one touch. Support for over 60 apps means sharing videos, joining games, and swapping routes is seamless. Apple ecosystem integration is solid too, with iPhone and Apple Watch syncing calls, messages, health data, and YOYO suggestions back and forth.
The software sits on something HONOR calls MagicLM, which includes four different AI models for everything from perception to visual generation. The whole YOYO Skills ecosystem has over 500 skills available and can handle more than 1,000 different proactive service scenarios. It's the kind of automation that sounds like science fiction until you actually see it working.
While MagicOS 11 is rolling out in China first, this is a strong signal that HONOR's getting serious about making phones feel genuinely intelligent rather than just fast. If this makes it to India eventually, it could shake up how people think about what their phones can actually do.
